Shorelands Orkney was founded in 2020 by Orcadians Kirsten and Nicky Bichan.
Turning our family home into a guest house had been our ambition for a long time and after several years of work, we were delighted to finally open the doors to guests.
Living here with our three young children and small dog, Hattie, we’ve had the joy of welcoming guests from around the world into our home.
Little did we know that this would mark the start of an exciting adventure to offer something new to people visiting the islands…
Why we started offering Orkney holiday packages…
After a busy first year of hosting guests at our bed and breakfast, we noticed a common theme: many visitors had just a few days in Orkney and wanted to make the most of every moment.
That’s when the idea took shape - to offer Orkney holiday packages, including transfers, accommodation, and tours, all designed to help guests slow down, soak up the landscape, and truly connect with the spirit of the islands.
